Day & Night
Without night, there is no day. Without sorrow, there is no joy.
The paintings from the series Day & Night primarily depict emotions and feelings. Such as hope, (subdued) joy, love, self-confidence, responsibility, protection, but also uncertainty, loneliness, and sorrow.
Especially for the painting Forget-Me-Not from this series, Bianca Hazenberg and Hans Daalmeijer have written a beautiful poem:
LOST
forget-me-nots woven like thoughts in my long hair
your presence like an echo in a starry wind
your faith buried in the silence of the nights
in my world, I wander between the gray and the pain
the brush of loneliness colors distance and sorrow
in a language drowning through the window of life's wisdom
